Don't let them get to you, they are a bunch of idiots who can't hold a reasoned argument against angling. The last time they tried it in the UK they were sent packing back to America. Always remember that we, as anglers, are practicing a lawful pastime and do not have to justify ourselves. You may remember a few years ago when PETA had a campaign against eating meat and other animal products such as milk and cheese. When common sense prevailed and they lost the debate they then resorted to frightening children into giving up meat and dairy produce. That failed also. One of their aims is to stop people keeping aminals as pets or exploiting animals in any way. One of the main financial backers of PETA was, and I think still is, Linda McCartney foods. Linda was a keen supporter of PETA and their aims and, in my opinion, one their biggest hypocryts. For someone who does not believe in animal exploitation she (and Paul) were often photographed riding horses!
